A thread of Erling Haaland’s incredible achievements and records during his breakout season 🇳🇴
Haaland scored a hattrick against Genk in his UCL debut at 19 years old

The last time this happened was in 2004, by none other than Wayne Rooney
His goalscoring in the UCL continued, with a goal vs the holders Liverpool, another vs Genk and 3 vs Napoli.

He got 8 goals in these 6 group games, playing for Salzburg who were often the heavy underdogs
He left Salzburg for Dortmund in January. His goal ratio, 16 in 14, remained the highest in the Austrian league that year.

He started on the bench for his first Dortmund appearance, but ended up scoring another debut hattrick in his 33 minutes on the pitch 🎩
Dortmund faced PSG in their champions league round of 16 tie.

Of course, he scored a brace in the 1st leg and did this iconic celebration 👌
That meant he had now scored 10 goals in his first 7 UCL games. He’s the quickest EVER player to hit double figures in the competition.

Only Mane and Firmino had scored 10 goals in their first UCL campaign before him. He did it as a teenager.
He won the Bundesliga player of the month playing only 59 minutes.

He scored 5 goals in that time 💥
He ended the season with 44 goals in 40 appearances for both of his clubs, only Lewandowski had a higher total in Europe. He averaged a goal every 63 minutes.

He topped it off with 10 assists too 🤝
To begin 20/21, he’s got off the mark with Norway in his 3rd game, scoring 2 great goals and assisting 1 as well.

In my opinion, nothing short of generational. Thanks for reading 👊
