Greece reports 312 new cases in the last 24 hours.

A minute increase from yesterday, where 310 cases were reported.

No concerns for tomorrow’s UK quarantine list review!

But ideally, we’d like to see cases level-off.

We know that the UK government is taking a regional approach to quarantine measures for some nations.

In last Monday’s announcement in parliament, Shapps announced the following islands were to be added to England’s quarantine list, effective from 4:00am last Wednesday

Following today’s cases, Greece’s 7-day case rate per 100,000 people is 18.4.

This is up from yesterday, where this figure was 17.8.

This is quite high, but there shouldn’t be any concerns in tomorrow’s UK quarantine list review.

Greece remains below the UK government’s “threshold” of 20.

For following weeks however, we would ideally like to see cases level-off to mitigate the risk of UK quarantine measures.

And to reiterate again... we don’t know for certain how the UK government decides which islands should be subject to quarantine measures on return.

But we do know the 7-day case rate per 100,000 people is not the only factor considered.

Today, the Greek government updated the list of countries which must present a negative PCR test on arrival.

This new list is valid until September 30th, and DOES NOT include the UK !

France is still not on this list so British travellers shouldn’t be concerned right now.

Let’s hope we can manage the case-load back here in the UK!

I know a lot of you are travelling to Kos & Rhodes.

Only one case in Kos today.... first time in a LONG time!

I wouldn’t be concerned about this.

Rhodes is in a good position too in comparison to other islands!
