Over the weekend, Wanda Moebius, a former colleague of mine at @AdvaMedUpdate, died suddenly and unexpectedly. Wanda was well-known to the insular world of health policy comms folks in DC, as she had increasingly senior roles at PhRMA, AdvaMed and J&J, among other places. 1/
But like a lot of us who work in DC -- like MOST of us who work in DC -- she was not a bold-face name. She cared a lot about policy and getting PR right. But what I remember most about Wanda was what she really talked about more. Her family. 2/?
She loved her nephew, Aleks, so very much. She and her sister helped raise him. She loved her mother, who she took care of after her father died. (Her mother preceded her in death.) And she adored her dog Bailey. 3/4
Even though she wasn't famous, Wanda worked hard at her job but also at being a good member of her family. I wasn't what I would call a good friend of hers, but I thought she deserved a little recognition and tribute here on Twitter. RIP, Wanda. You went far too young. 4/4
