I'd like to introduce a term: anti-endorsement.
An anti-endorsement is a denunciation that reflects favorably on a person. If, for example, Jeffrey Dahmer said that he disliked the detective who caught him, that would be to the detective's credit.

Though I don't think anyone has framed it quite this way, politicians have often made use of anti-endorsements. FDR famously said, "I welcome their hatred" in reference to the financiers who opposed his policies.
Every time a politician talks about "taking on" one special interest or another, they're highlighting an implicit anti-endorsement.
No one does this better than Trump. Here, he refers to "the establishment that's trying to stop us."

I cannot think of a better anti-endorsement than the one in the video at the beginning of this thread.
