Sometimes ppl ask me what’s the hardest thing about politics:
- emotional intelligence: knowing how to pick up on other emotions’ will often tell you more then their actions
- ability to play the “game”: you need to know what jargon they use, who are the key players

- identifying and analyzing: I’ll throw community organizing in there but being able to do your research on certain populations, learn what their issues are, and learn how to craft solutions
- battling imposter syndrome: being a you a woman in some of these spaces brings doubts

Working x100: due to the complexity of a lot of issues, the work never steps. You have to constantly keep “doing your homework” on everything that’s going on
