Today I tweeted something negative about a famous Republican.

Within minutes, I had received 30 tweet replies from bot accounts, they& #39;d all been created in the past 4 months, with broken English usernames and fewer than 5 followers.

The Russian disinformation campaign is real.

They& #39;re tracking mentions of specific phrases/keywords/topics, and then bombarding those tweets with hostile replies and unrelated hashtags.

This is how they seek to undermine our elections and spread propaganda, by re-repeating talking points on other people& #39;s threads, hoping

that the victims will reply to their hostile tweets, and thereby amplify their propaganda to more and more and more people.

If you see someone posting pro-Trump bullshit, DO NOT REPLY. DO NOT GIVE THEM MORE OXYGEN.

Just block them and move on.

I deleted the tweet, not because I don& #39;t stand by what I said, but because I simply don& #39;t have TIME to report-and-block all the Republican bots today. Why? BECAUSE IT& #39;S TACO TUESDAY, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
