I know its “popular” to feign concern about shit now, but seriously, if you are REALLY concerned you would ACTIVELY search for a space where people are discussing this & creating an action plan to address it locally, & if you don’t find an organization that does that, START ONE.
THAT 👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾 is what the WORK IS. That is called ORGANIZING; which should NOT be mistaken for MOBILIZATION.

e.g. Black & Indigenous nurses & OBGYNS starting an organization RE addressing birth equity issues & maternal mortality rates (MMR).

e.g. having a protest about Black MMR.
Do y’all see the point here, what I’m attempting to illustrate?

THEY ARE MURDERING US ALL THE TIME & MOST OF WHAT WE DO IS MOBILIZE.

Protesting is a TACTIC, not a principle. It barely even benefits us to simply just “protest” something. Every time we do the police get paid OT.
Social revolution & intellectual revolution are within our grasp & they ALWAYS have been.

CHANGING HOW WE MAKE DECISIONS/ACT* is executed through PRACTICE at the day-to-day level.

*An INFORMED/RESEARCHED change course of action, goals, &/or means.
I’ll elaborate. Reflect on these questions:

1: How much time do you spend per week reading political education materials RE topics you have not studied about?

2: Are you a member of a community organization that is addressing the present social problems?
3: How do you treat people of varying sociopolitical positions in relation to yours?

4: What subversive acts do you take to combat & organize against these social problems? How often do you do them?
The ONLY way to LEARN is by DOING, which ultimately is PRACTICING.

For instance, if I don’t DO anything with the information that I have about a problem then that means I likely haven’t considered my own role in the reproduction of said social problem.
