I'm glad people have things they can enjoy and look forward to.

If you're able to still be excited for #TheMandolorian because GC's ignorance and bigotry don't directly impact you or someone you love, that's a privilege.
It's similar to She-Ra not being totally ruined for me because the racist comments from the stream didn't directly touch me. I can separate. That's a privilege.
And RTing the GoFundMe and donating are great. A cynical part of me wonders if folks did RT and donate to assuage their guilt over still being excited for the show despite how terrible GC has revealed herself to be.
I think what hurt yesterday was I saw all excitement and hype, no acknowledgement of what GC had done or the lack of formal response. It was just so easy to forget that it's possible that very real harm has been done by GC because you don't know or love a trans person.
Podcasts and people with platforms reacting to the trailer without condemning her actions and words was a disappointment. How easily we forget because we want to be entertained. Or we have a brand.
And if this thread makes you feel defensive please pause a moment to examine why before replying.

I haven't called out anyone. I haven't said that people that are excited are terrible. All I've done is share my feelings, which are mine and valid.
