I want to run a little analysis on the POWER of long term investing

To do that, let’s take a look at Warren Buffett’s wealth

First off, just take a look at his wealth over time

This is a REAL LIFE example of compounding going to work!

Notice how the graph isn’t linear, rather it is exponential... that is the POWER of compounding

So here is the 2020 Forbes list of wealthiest people in the World

1. Jeff Bezos ( $AMZN )
2. Bill Gates ( $MSFT )
3. Bernard Arnault ( $LVMHF )

4. Warren Buffett ( $BRK.A & $BRK.B )

5. Larry Ellison ( $ORCL )

Do you notice a difference between #4 and the rest of the group?

1. Created Amazon
2. Co-Founded Microsoft
3. CEO of LVMH

5. Co-Founded Oracle

BUT

4. Invested in the stock market

So the #4 richest person in the world, Warren Buffett, did EXACTLY what you and I can do

Invest in the stock market

He didn’t create a company

He didn’t build a fashion line

All he did was invest in the stock market

Yes, Warren Buffett is the CEO of a company, “Berkshire Hathaway”

But this company is a conglomerate of many many many different companies

He gets paid dividends from a multitude of companies

Just like you own $KO, so does Warren Buffett... and A LOT of it

THAT is what motivates me to invest in the long term!

The ability to grow my wealth...

While not having to actively work for it!

My money grows for me, while I am out earning even more money!

So if the 4th richest person in the world made his name by investing

Then WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR

I’m not saying you will become the 4th richest person in the world

BUT

It doesn’t hurt to start your journey today, to allow compounding to get to work FOR YOU!

Also, Warren Buffett invested into some of these big named companies

AND

Is getting paid by them, but never had to put in the sweat to build that business up!

Just sit back and collect $4.7 Billion in dividend payments annually

I hope this thread is a MOTIVATOR to start investing!

If you want to go out and build your own company, AWESOME!

If you want to build the next $AAPL, nothing wrong with that!

But don’t underestimate the power of compounding and time !
