Why you as a cis het man should support All Men Are Trash (a thread), which i shall be referring to as #amat henceforth.

To fully understand why amat doesn't literally apply to all men, it is imperative to understand what #acab or "All Cops Are B*stards" is and this thread hopes to educate you on that too.

acab was a term first used in mid 19th century by people to show their protest and opposition to the police, in more recent years, it has been used to condemn the police as an institution to bring about reform and change

but does it actually literally mean all cops are b*stards? no, of course not. everyone knows that all cops arent inherently corrupt, evil or racist. acab is used to get the attention of all cops to hold their colleagues accountable for their actions.

coming back to amat, the entire point of the statement isnt to call all men trash but rather is an outcry in protest against the long standing patriarchy that has affected and dare i say ruined the lives of countless women AND MEN of this country.

and i say men too because men also lose their freedom of expression, their identity, and are scorned upon by society and family when they are unable to provide to the same extent as the ridiculous standards held up by society.

we as men need to hold each other accountable and treat everyone with respect regardless of their sex or gender identity

men's voices are more well heard in a patriarchal society such as ours. if all this were to come from a woman, im sure a lot of people in the comments would say "who hurt you" or "dont say all men are trash, when your taste in men is trash"

and that, is why cis het men are the best people to support amat.
