The day I knew I would become an entrepreneur

*/A THREAD/*
I was 9 years old

Near my parent's office, there were these white little rocks that I thought were beautiful

I decided to grab a bunch of them and bring them home

Because... why not?
One day I decided to paint them with felt tip pens

When I saw the final result I thought to myself:

"Wow this is a masterpiece, I bet people are willing to pay for it"

(I genuinely believed that)

I told about it to my brother and he helped me painting all the rocks we had
Suddenly we had around 12 rocks painted with all sort of colors

It was time to start selling

We decided to charge 1€ ($1,18) for each and do a "buy 2, get 3" offer

We went door to door all around our neighborhood trying to sell them
Surprisingly, we made a few sales that day

About 6€ of profit

Selling painted rocks!!

It may not look much

But when you are 9 yo, every penny is a lot
We saw a pain point

Which was, clearly, the lack of beautiful rocks sitting at home

And we decided to fix that, painting white rocks and selling them
Lesson here

If my 9 yo self could sell rocks you too can sell anything you want

I hope you enjoyed that short story from my childhood and perhaps learned something from a 9 yo stupid kid
