So I was in a webinar recently and one of the speakers was talking about TRUST and gave this equation. So here& #39;s an explanation: How competence you are in what you do, how dependable you can be and the level of personal relationship (intimacy) with your (potential) customers are metrics that put you or your business in a positive light to your (potential) customers....

These are metrics that your audience will consciously or unconsciously be looking out for when they come in contact with your business⁣

However, it& #39;ll be a lie to say you don& #39;t have your self (or business) interest even as you seek to protect the interests of your customers.

So looking from the equation above, a very high Self Interest metric will have an adverse effect on your Trust level. ⁣

So let& #39;s say your Competence level is 3 (out of 5), Dependability is 3, Intimacy is 2 and Self Interest is 2, your Trust level will be 9....

..(out of 15 because using the metrics above 15 is the highest number your Trust level can be).⁣

On the other hand, if other metrics remains the same but Self Interest increases to 5, Trust level will be 3.6 (out of 15).⁣
