Your resume CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT be longer than a page. I got a 4 page resume that was basically the applicant& #39;s to-do list across 4 jobs.
I really don& #39;t need to know that you were "raised by a single mom" and idgaf about your Netflix preferences. This is a job application, not a roadies audition.
If you want to talk about what you did in your job, talk about the IMPACT you made during your time there. I saw a resume that basically had Content Strategy, Content Creation and Brand Building as bullet points. What am I supposed to infer? That you are good with subheadings?
Links to work/social profiles are highly encouraged but please for the love of god make sure the links work before you send them out. It makes a terrible impression.
Might be a repeat, but it& #39;s worth repeating. Don& #39;t write down tasks. Speak in outcomes. "Managed social media" is a task. "Increased social community by 5X" is an outcome. Outcomes are far more powerful than tasks.
