It has been a scourge of human society since time started. It continues to cost countless human lives.
Causes terrible misery to millions throughout the world.
Root cause of most of the

Social evils in the society.
The statistics of soaring crime rates, mental illness, millions of broken homes everywhere.
The Holy Quran prohibited Tue consumption of alcohol in the following verse:
O ye Who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones r abomination

Of Satan's work; eschew such abomination that ye may prosper. 5:90 (Al Quran)

Prohibition in Bible :
Wine is a mocker,strong drink is raging and however is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 20:1
And not be drunk with wine (Ephesians 5:18)

When a person consume alcohol he

Is found to be indulging in behavior that is completely uncharacteristic of him.
Cases of adultery, rape and incest are found mostly in alcoholics.

Cirrhosis of liver
Cancer if oesophegus, head and neck.
Strokes, fits, heart attack, chest infection
