I think your point of view of politics has alot to say about how you view the world, which inevitably means your relationships with people in that world. If you believe that the system doesn't take priority in revolution than the individual, you underestimate just how much 1/ https://twitter.com/delashereen/status/1305877746837590018
The system influences the individual. If the world operates under a government/group mindset where you benefit from it, then of course it's easy for you to see problems in other individuals more than the thing that largely influenced that individuals actions: the system. 2/
You assume, "well I followed the rules just like anybody else and I'm doing fine, so its probably something wrong with that person" when confronted with a problem like homelessness or mental health. You see a pattern in the groups of people who are largely affected negatively 3/
By the system rather than see how the system has made it so that they are disadvantaged- because of the forementioned assumption. This shifts the blame of the problem to the group and not the system, which only furthers the purposes of those who control that system and are in 4/
Power. That purpose is to maintain their own power and increase it no matter the costs to society and to nature. With the blame shifted, the disadvantaged villainized, and fear instilled in the public, people will enforce that system that keeps them disadvantaged and separate 5/
From the rest of society without being aware of this. The only way to become aware of this harmful mindset is to become politically aware, to become informed of how government systems influence people, and to recognize the privileges those systems provide you. 6/
So in conclusion, your politics DO matter in judgment of character, because it tells me how you view the way people should treat each other in general, which is going to influence how you yourself are going to treat others. The importance of politics is unavoidable. 7/7
