PCOD/PCOS: A thread.

Poly cystic ovarian disease or Poly cycstic ovarian syndrome is a disease that many women face as a result of hormonal imbalance where cysts are formed which causes irregular periods, overbleeding, facial hair, thinning of scalp, weight gain etc.
Today, Pcod is a leading cause of infertility in women. The first case of pcod was detected in 1935 & today there are over 10 million cases. Rare in 1935 and rampant in 2020. In India, 1/5 women face this.
Modern science says there is no cure to it but thats when AYURVEDA comes to rescue.

Our fast modern lifestyle is to be blamed. It can be only cured if you are really up to make some changes, else there's nothing that can help.
1st step: Say no to medicines. Commonly used: Yasmine, Diane, Metamorphin, Aldactone etc. These medicines only pacify the symptoms and don't tap the root cause. The symptoms will eventually come back as soon as you stop taking these drugs.
2nd step: Make your food your medicine.
Stop eating packaged processed foods which are loaded with chemicals & preservatives and instead switch to fresh home cooked food. This is the most basic change one can ever make.
Your plate should have veggies, protein (dal or paneer) and carbohydrates (rich in fibre). Don't forget to add 1 tsp of desi cow ghee on an empty stomach in your daily diet. Its proven to do wonders. Add fermented foods for b12. Paneer, curd, idli etc. & Seasonal fruits
3rd step: Exercise is non negotiable. If you can't spend a minimum 20 minutes on strength training or a cardio session, stop reading this thread right here. Core strengthening is the most important here as it helps your pelvic muscles to gain strength.
Butterfly pose is considered to be one of the best exercises when treating pcod. Also 5-10 minutes of rapid exhalation (kapaalbhaati) does wonders.
4th step: SLEEP
The body of a female reacts very quickly to hormonal changes. If your routine includes irregular bedtimes, phone calls, tv before going to bed will just add up to the hormonal imbalance.
Till now all these steps will help you lose the lower belly fat which is putting pressure on the ovaries, which is actually one of the causes.
5th step: AVOID PLASTIC.
Avoid using plastic containers, bottles etc. Because when plastic comes into contact with the food, it leaches chemicals like xenoestrogens into it which are quite similar to the hormone estrogen produced by the human body and it makes a mess in the body.
Instead, consider using glass & stainless steel containers.
6th step: CONNECTION WITH THE MOON
Believe it or not, but a woman's body has a very strong connection with the moon. The 28 days revolution cycle of the moon & the 28 days menstrual cycle of women is not merely a coincidence.
As a woman, you can sit under moonlight to balance the hormones, sounds funny but it's true. In ancient India there were many herbs which were charged in moonlight. The more moonlight you will absorb, the better your hormones will function
You can even keep water in a "glass" bottle, under moon for a night and then drink the moonlight charged water in the morning.

Avoid the blue lights of your phones & switch to moonlight, to cure the pcod.
Ayurveda says, "A disease can only hold a woman when her rhythm is out of sync with the moon".
