... I’m so tired of performative “diversity” work. Particularly from white women.

Do the actual work and listen.

*sigh
(And I have many white friends who are not performative and I appreciate them very much)
this is performative nonsense. Someone calls out Black face & your respond "but where do you live"?? 1) you don't know circumstances of why someone lives where they do. Sure consider, but there could be a million other reasons. 2) is calling out Black face NOT walking the walk?!
I'm just so, so tired of seeing white women on here try and pretend to be "diversity warriors" or "equity evangelists" or tell me "perspective is everything" AND THEY DON'T ACTUALLY DO OR CONSIDER THAT. STOP CLAIMING THINGS YOU DON'T ACTUALLY DO. *YOU* GO "WALK THE WALK." UGH.
ALSO LIKE I JUST SAID TO
@trussleadership, LIVING IN A "DIVERSE" PLACE CAN ALSO BE PERFORMATIVE ALLYSHIP. JUST BECAUSE YOU LIVE AROUND BLACK AND/OR BROWN PEOPLE DOESN'T MEAN YOU DO THE WORK!! YOU CAN'T ABSORB THE WORK THROUGH OSMOSIS. UGH. I am on my last nerve at the moment.
