A beautiful vixen met a tragic end on the highway near us. When it was safe to do so, we went and collected her because instead of letting her rot and flatten against the asphalt I cleaned her

up to keep some bones and the pelt, then we returned her remains to the woods with a proper goodbye and some herb burning.

I will add to this thread as I go so you can block it if such themes make you uncomfortable! I hope the warnings at the beginning filters the entire thread out.

These are some bones ready for degreasing and bleaching. The pelt is currently in a bucket with a mild solution to

clean the blood out. The salting and scraping process will take a couple of days, expect pictures after that!
