Insomnia thoughts:

1.On Tues, the Irish government launched a “plan” for Living with Covid. They then gave a real life demonstration of what Living with Covid SHOULD look like. Immediate restriction of movement, test & fast result.
2.The 4 hours it took for the Irish Minister for Health to receive his test & result is 8 times slower than passengers at Rome airport (30 mins). And 18 times faster than the service my son’s friend received last week (72 hours).
3.The only person I’ve spent longer than 15 minutes with in a fortnight, is my son who is in a big secondary school (1000 kids). If I was to test positive tomorrow, will someone from the HSE Track & Trace be calling me a liar?
4. Given the increasing levels of shame & implications of “bad” behaviour from a positive test, how does the tracker app know that a person has tested positive? Do people mark themselves as positive on it? Do they really?
