In a set of guidelines for treating DID, it's strongly implied that the desired outcome by psychologists is "final fusion." And that "narcissistic investment in alternate identities/DID itself" is what causes systems not to choose final fusion.

It's Pluralphobic as fuck.
They even admit that final fusion can end up causing more issues. And that therapy will have to continue after.

They also state that after "final fusion" the, "integrated system" can "decompensate into florid DID."

Meaning that the fusion itself will likely fail.
They are testing unproven treatments on systems. Treatments that may not actually be beneficial.

This is why we can't promote integration or final fusion.

We promote cooperation, and communication.

Since the word "integration" is tied to medical experimentation and pluralmisia
