Today is the 2nd anniversary of my Turbulent Skies solo show opening. And yes it snowed.
I had the whole Udell Gallery for the show which allowed me to show the large project pieces, the framed photos from my storm chaser collaborators and some older work at the back of the gallery.
In the back part of the gallery...the old pieces and I set up a video projection with storm audio
The opening was very well attended
And I got to hang out with my project storm chaser Beth @adolwyn and @SwiftChaser as well as @Wherezjeff and @SteveRickettsSP
I sold a few pieces at the show including one of the project pieces, Golden Lining
and just last week on almost the anniversary, I sold 2 more project pieces to a collector...Heading West Now & Outflow Dominant.
Leaving 3 pieces still available...I Can See It..With My Imagination, Firing Up Over Keephills and the title piece, Turbulent Skies
CBC did a national morning news hit on the project in it's early stages
All in all, it was an amazing project and absolutely changed the way I think about painting and was a huge influence on everything I do today.
Thanks to project chasers @adolwyn @SwiftChaser @ratzlaff @Wherezjeff @SteveRickettsSP & @ryanwunsch for being part of it.
