Allen Robinson thoughts incoming...

1. Should he have been paid already? Absolutely.

The man is the straw that stirs the drink on offense. A guy who often has to make chicken salad out of chicken shit with Trubisky's constant issues.

#Bears
2. That being said, people can't overlook how brutal the timing was in regards to COVID-19.

There is no question if the #Bears weren't staring down a giant drop in the 2021 salary cap, Robinson would already have his money.

This pandemic dropped a jumbo turd on those plans.
3. Does Allen really want out?

No, I don't think so. I believe he likes Chicago and wants to stay.

The timing of all these rumors feels way too orchestrated to be a coincidence.

He knows the fans will side with him in any standoff. So why not use it to his advantage? #Bears
4. Robinson has already made his feelings on the franchise tag well known.

He hates it and wants to avoid it by any means necessary.

The longer this plays out, the more likely the tag becomes.

So his best course of action is trying to force the #Bears' hand.
5. Will Ryan Pace break?

The #Bears GM isn't known for caving to outside pressure. He's going to do what he thinks is best for the franchise.

It's not a question of wanting to pay Robinson. It's a question of determining value.
6. Robinson's value to the #Bears is obvious. He is their go-to guy. A machine on money downs with a knack for big catches.

At the same time, he's not the most explosive guy in the world.

Is he on the same level as Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins?
7. Robinson likely sees himself on their level. The #Bears may not. Hence the divide.

All things considered?

A deal will likely get done. Both sides want it to happen. It's just about reaching common ground.

As we've seen so often in the NFL, that can be a major headache.
