Everybody wants to network up. Get the co-sign of the OGs in your field or genre. Collab with em. Pick their brains. That’s a good thing.

But you have to know who’s on the come up. Grinding in the trenches right next to you. Establishing community that way yields lasting bonds.

I’m all about the lasting bonds. I prefer to play the long game and see how me and the homies can make our own way.
