In some ways, the players and coaches are currently dealing with much less stress than most of us outside the programs. If full pads weren’t going on for 10 days from now, for instance, there’s less urgency from their perspective to officially hear a Big Ten announcement.

NOTE: That doesn’t mean they don’t want to get a verdict right now. But in terms of being ready for Oct. 17, it’s not an absolute necessity for how teams like Ohio State might be structuring training camp.
