Our team recently shared a deep-dive into sponsored content on Instagram.

It's a boatload of data analysis including 36,000+ paid posts from 1,600+ athlete, team, league, media IG accounts (thanks @Blake_Lawrence).

Here are a few of my favorite uncovered insights...
We found out that @EASPORTSFIFA and @Bose are all in on branded Instagram content in sports.
TEAM Accounts shared the most sponsored content -- 15,000+, accounting for 42% of all branded posts.

The @Giants topped all team accounts, while NBA orgs made up 8/10 most-active teams.
North American LEAGUE accounts share far more sponsored content than their international counterparts.
But... International athletes dominated NA athletes in terms of sponsored content shared.
Athletes shared just 11% of all sponsored content in sports.

BUT...

Athletes create engagement 3.3X more effectively for sponsors than all other account types.
