removing the trunk lid from a hotwheels car is literally 10x harder than removing the trunk lid of a real car

also this is now a gaslands car build thread
we& #39;re getting there, still A Lot of filing to do
back seats? dont need em.
trar test fit: looking adequate
the plan
the other plan

had to hold it steady and put something under it because these pieces don& #39;t exactly fit together. yet.
third plan: im actually gonna do a custom bumper for the nova and put this jeep brush guard on the 57 chevy (lost the hood when i was a kid)
day two, we strippin https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😳" title="Errötetes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Errötetes Gesicht">

im most excited about the two muscle cars, but i have biiig plans for all of these... except the jeep, i just already had it apart and figured why not
jar o& #39; car!

good bye to that admittedly kinda cool paint job on the fastback, it was applied poorly and parts of the flames wore off literally the day i got it :/

now we wait
holy fuck this is satisfying
didn& #39;t realize this was a silverado heheheh
so there& #39;s still a bit of paint left, i think the stuff im using is pretty old and diluted, but the older/offbrand-er cars are naked!

the other three are still marinading and might need to wait overnight
dry fitting them back on their chassis, looks neat

gonna leave it there for a bit, ive got parts on the way...
oh my god the muscle cars are being absolute shitasses, the paint does not want to come off so i have to dunk them for like half an hour, scrape, then dunk again

progress is happening tho, the nova is actually looking kinda cool at this stage
things are happening to the 57 chevy
also these two are gonna become VERY close friends c:
my desk is a huge mess of dismembered hotwheels cars, toothpicks, staples, and paperclips lmao
shit is getting w e i r d
ok this car gonna be weird af
gun
the nova is coming along VERY well

i clipped the grill out and built my own out of staples and it looks so much more wasteland now
custom exhaust for the mustang: heatshield from an off-scale semi truck and the rest is paperclips c:
new windshield armor for the car that i think i will name ponyboy
i cannot believe i actually thought the orange truck was proper scale my entire life. it& #39;s so tiny!

also i bought a proper scale truck to build a war rig c:
the new cars i got, from left to right, possum for scale:

1966 ford c950
1970 ford mustang (came with the truck)
1957 chevy suburban
1986 toyota trueno (ae86)

best part is they& #39;re all off brand which means they screw together instead of being riveted together at the factory
I CRAFTED TOO HARD
makin some thundersticks
we strippin, again

this time in video form
IT& #39;S HAPPENING
32 wheels
6 drivers
6 crewmen
2 lift kits
a handful of engine parts and exhausts
and some armor bits they threw in for free

i am in nirvana rn
these parts are rad af
YOOOOOOOOO
added some more bits, changed some things around, and i think we are ready to paint
the paint i couldn& #39;t scrape off is going to add a really good texture, i love it
time to rust
so much effort for rust that i mostly covered up lmao
