One Dulwich's latest update says "children *now* walk & cycle to school through heavy traffic". Whilst we appreciate the concern for children's health, lets not pretend this is a new issue.

By positioning the current congestion as a *new* issue, those opposing Phase 1's #DulwichSquare seek to link the problem to the council's recent efforts to provide safe space for walking and cycling .

Public transport capacity is limited due to social distancing, so more people are driving. Measures which prioritise walking & cycling enable those who can to switch away from car journeys.
