Whew. I know every public school parent has this day but this is the day I need to vent about the way pandemic school is going.

Why WHY do they expect these kids to learn to keep track of a full curriculum's worth of assignments in 5 weeks?
Saying "we understand it will take time" and "we're in it together" means NOTHING if you're still downgrading him for assignments he has sitting in Canvas and not submitted because he can't remember to do that. I have MASTERS students who still do that.
WHO CARES IF HE SPINS IN HIS CHAIR?! I spin in my chair in meetings - I just have the freedom to turn off my camera and everyone has the good sense to know that after hours on zoom I should be able to do that. These are children. Children are people, not zoombots. GAAAAAAAH.
Just. Public schools are going to go through crisis with parents (esp. parents with jobs) pulling their kids out of school. Work with those of us trying our best to support teachers through online learning. Work with us.
STOP the "I must be in control/know best/have the upper hand/have the last word" business. Nobody has it together. Parents have been *very* patient. Teachers have been overworked and thrown into this.Chill. Especially when you have literally never not once met my child in person.
Also, I know people are having a hard time w/EC/SPED, but I have had an easier time getting flexibility/accommodation for my child w/a formal diagnosis than the one without. All informal supports have gone out the window. Leave the boy alone about his chair.
Anyway, let me make this doctor's appointment, because whew - everyone is in self-preservation mode, and nobody is going to look out for my baby but me.
