Daily, I shake my head over our persistent, collective disbelief that the USA could ever develop concentration camps, when we've had plantations, reservations, redlining, and the largest prison industrial complex in the world.

Containing people is kinda... what the USA does. 🤷🏿‍♀️
At a certain point, the shock over there being gambling up in this establishment isn't cute. It's dangerous. It also explains why the scant few of us who manage to reach certain spaces are treated poorly.
Some of us read the daily news from multiple sources. And in that news, we learned during the early months of the COVID-19 crisis that the virus was running rampant in the border camps, in prisons, on reservations, in Black, Latinx & immigrant communities, and in nursing homes.
I don't understand why anyone is shocked. And friends to the left are correct; 45's got to go, but this preceded him.

I'll never understand why 44/admin didn't do what we elected them for in 2008: to dismantle the neocons' apparatus. ICE is a Bush admin artifact! So frustrating.
