Update thread on “ExamSoft Chronicles: NYLE tech issue edition” for anyone else in the same boat or anyone who is troubleshooting how the UBE exams will go in three weeks. 1/

Yesterday: I waited in the Live Chat on the ExamSoft website for over 7 hours, but never spoke to an agent. I never received a callback after submitting a request, but the automated operator said I was 16th (maybe 60th?) in line. Sent another email. 2/

Today: I have been waiting for over 3.5 hours in the live chat function on the ExamSoft website, but no agent so far. I’ll keep it open so long as I’m awake today. I have not received an email response to my first email after 96hrs. 3/

I’ve tried calling several times today, but the system directs me to the website (email and LiveChat) and then hangs up. The trick that got me a place on hold yesterday no longer works. 4/

I tried calling the NYBOLE about my issue, and they were really kind and empathetic, but honestly there isn’t anything they can do besides noting it in their records. They know ExamSoft is experiencing issues, though. And I spoke to a real person! 5/

After chatting with the NYBOLE person, it seems like I have to wait for ExamSoft to get back to me and if they don’t, take the NYLE in Dec. and pay $27 again. Not the worst thing in the world and I am thankful this isn’t a bar exam tech issue, but this is really frustrating. 6/

If anyone else is having “proctor” or “continuation code” or “resume code” issues with ExamSoft, you’re not alone. If you find something that works to get in contact with ExamSoft or make the software work, please let me know. 7/

@dp4ny My specific issue is NYLE mock exam related, but I imagine there could be others having a similar problem contacting ExamSoft for the bar exam. Have you heard anything? /8

I just saw @BarExamTracker used #ExamSoftTips so if anyone stumbles across this thread and knows how to deal with a continuation code/resume code issue or how to get ExamSoft to speak with you, please let me know! /9
