If you have ever celebrated Independence Day in Mexico or Central America, I ask you that this year you look & search for mutual aid efforts that support Afro-Indigenous & Indigenous communities in these countries.
We all know that the pandemic and natural disasters are severely impacting many Indigenous communities in Mexico and Latin America, so pay it forward & start doing something today to support.
One you can support is our effort to continue providing groceries to 80 families of single mothers and elders in San Pablo Tijatelpec, Oaxaca after they lost their communal harvest. $20 USD is one week's worth of groceries.
This is to support an Indigenous women-led collective, Ñaa Ñanga Tijaltepec! Please check them out on Instagram as well (@/naanangatijaltepec). Also please feel free to post other mutual aids below on this thread.
You can follow @doctora_nature.
