With an aging population and higher healthcare costs than ever, the system needs to become more efficient

Telemedicine only solves part of the problem. Physicians are still going to be spending the same time w/ each patient

That’s where remote patient monitoring $LVGO comes in
Livongo recently conducted a study of COVID’s impact on their members’ blood pressure levels nationwide using data they’ve collected from their connected devices. https://www.livongo.com/covid-blood-pressure/

Governments are already using mobile apps to contain the spread, but those are reactive.
What if we could collate patient health data, everything from blood glucose monitors, to Apple Watches and smart thermometers to predict infections before any visible symptoms?

That could allow governments to better contain outbreaks. LVGO’s true value is in the software.
Apple just announced it is partnering with health networks to start large-scale studies using the new blood oxygen measurement feature on the Apple Watch, including seeing if it can detect COVID-19 infections, but that’s just one potential use case.

By having real-time data on our health, we can reserve precious provider time for patients who need it the most and deliver personalized outcomes for a lower cost.

Apple prob won’t want to provide the care themselves, so it makes sense to partner with health systems or $TDOC.
