I am disgusted by casual pejorative references to politicians or Hollywood stars as "pedophiles". Child sexual abuse is real and the damage is horrifying. Real pedophiles exist and are an anathema, but throwing the term around like a political football hurts the real victims.

Any evidence of child sexual abuse by any public figure, it should be exposed.
Real pedophiles are much rarer than child sexual abusers. Pedophiles have abnormal sexual preference for children. Child sexual abuse is more often about with power and control than actual pedophilia.

Child sexual abusers more likely than not know the victim as a family member, family friend, or acquaintance.
Pedophiles want the illusion of consent and will spend time and effort grooming the child.
