I'm not claiming this is healthy or ideal. I just wanna talk about the industry and the diff diets people in it use. I obviously cannot cover everyone but will only talk about idols I'm familiar with. There might be errors here so take it w a grain of salt

First, it's important we discuss the industry itself to understand better. Maintaining a slim figure is the ideal for idols. It is so desired that diet culture and losing weight is normalized and sometimes, encouraged.
Even in tv shows, idols are openly asked about their eating habits and even are occasionally asked to diet.

Despite being slim, idol X!aozhan was asked to diet on TV.
Idols also often promise their fans that they would lose weight and apologize for not being able to do so.

Then trainee Yu Shux!n explains to her fans why she wasn't able to lose weight during idol producer.
Upon garnering many votes on the show, she promised her fans that she was trying her best to lose weight and transform into a more "ideal" version of herself
Co-trainees have helped her by stopping her from snacking until she has finished practicing.
Idol Xu J!aq! from the same produce show has also apologized on social media over "eating indulgently" and gaining a bit of weight since she has felt heavier than before.

Many idols usually eat indulgently during off seasons and only restrict whenever promotion season is nearing. Trainees are often encouraged to stay slim as well to prepare for possible debut
In idol producer, then trainee Yu Y@n was admired by co-trainees for being strict with herself. She has not eaten biscuits, and only snacks on nuts and berries. Outside of usual training, she also takes opportunities to work out. Before training, she did boxing to stay fit.
Even when she celebrated her birthday on the show, she opted to eat a luxurious fruit platter rather than a cake since she avoids eating heavy things to maintain a slim figure.
Another idol was also praised for controlling her snacking habits. Idol L!u L!ngzi avoids snacking by labelling her food items.

L!ngzi is very open about her diet and keeps it no secret, even sharing the meals she had online.

Not all idols do a filling diet like L!ngzi tho. Sun Ru! talked about how she had to a crash diet after reaching 60 kg after an accident. She dieted until she was back to 47.5 kg.
This is the diet she followed. She also watches her weight daily. She stops eating for a day if she goes over her ideal weight.
A member of the same 48 group, Ju J!ngy! has an easier trick to follow. Fans have observed that whenever the idol eats, she chews on one bite 32 times. It is believed to be the reason for her slim figure.
Male idol X!ao Zh@n has also shared four tips to maintain a slim figure

2๏ธโƒฃ Eat beef + chicken (leaner meats)
3๏ธโƒฃ Eat salad rather than fruit
4๏ธโƒฃ No snacks after filming
Naturally skinny, Ca! X*kun used to eat 8x a day but had to cut back when he gained saying

"I said I wouldn't get fat if I ate it, but I started to swell and started on a diet. I lost 10kg. I can't say I feel the most comfortable during a diet,"
To maintain a slim figure at only 57kg while being 184 cm, he avoids eating junk food. He only snacks on fresh fruit. He also does not eat oily and spicy food.

Staffs who worked with him claim that his waist is "only half the size of a normal person's"
However, some idols are lucky to not need a strict diet considering that they exercise a lot on top of regular training.

Z3ng Ken!, who has an envious figure weighing 50 kg at 174 cm, claims to never diet and eats whatever she wants. This is due to her intense workouts.
She says that if she weren't an idol, she would be a fitness instructor. She likes to do all kinds of workouts especially rock climbing.

Idols Lu K3ran and L!nfan have also maintained a healthy figure by doing sports, especially football.
K3ran can be seen in this clip playing football. She used to be in the same team as L!nfan as well.

Ultimately, idols maintain a very slim figure since they are expected to be presentable. They are considered the ideal and maintaing their figure is often considered part of the job. So, do not feel to pressured to lose weight like a C-idol. Do it at your own pace!
