1/ Introducing NLP for the public!

Beginning today, we are offering more free #NewsLiteracy tools for everyone — not just students.
- #Checkology lessons
- resources for fact-checking
- a podcast, "Is That a Fact?"
- a weekly newsletter & more http://bit.ly/NewsLitEveryone
2/ This expansion comes in response to the growing crisis of false information in America.

“We believe misinformation & a lack of news literacy skills & knowledge pose an existential threat to our democracy,” said founder and CEO @alanmillerNLP

#NewsLiteracy
3/ #Checkology offerings include foundational lessons about topics like misinformation, & teach users how to ID credible information, seek out reliable sources, understand media biases, & apply critical thinking skills to differentiate fact-based content from falsehoods.
4/ Our podcast features experts — such as @BrendanNyhan, the 1st episode’s guest — who address the question, “How can American democracy survive & thrive in our toxic information environment?” It will seek to help listeners understand how they can become part of the solution.
6/ Starting 9/22 we'll begin publishing a free weekly newsletter, Get Smart About News. Adapted from The Sift®, it will highlight & debunk timely examples of the most widespread rumors, hoaxes & conspiracy theories to help readers navigate today’s complex information landscape.
