Hey fellow homelessness advocates: can we all commit or recommit to advocating for people who are homeless *without* stigmatizing substance use?

We cannot divide people into "the deserving homeless" and "the undeserving homeless." We cannot demonize people who use drugs in our efforts to advocate for other people who are homeless and don't use drugs. We should call out such language when we hear it. (2/)

We should be outraged when homeless families are displaced from their shelters but we should also be outraged when homeless men who use drugs or alcohol are similarly displaced & their lives disrupted. They are people too. (3/)
