just think: we've seen from R1 and associated books that there are more Force users than just jedi and sith. they tend to align along similar philosophical lines of dark vs light, but there's lots of different ones that presumably flourish in areas farther from the core

just from the ones we've seen on screen, we've got the nightsisters, the church of the force, the knights of ren, and the guardians of the whills. the guardian of the whills book references several more.

so. mando is trying to get bb yoda back to where he belongs, but news of the child is spreading and now aaaaaall these various groups are trying to get their hands on the bb. presumably to train him or maybe for more nefarious purposes, it depends on the group

*also forgot to mention the inquisitors

of course mando knows fuck all about the nuances of these various groups and his priority is making sure bb yoda is safe. so now he has to figure out who has good intentions and who's lying.

i could also see it turning into mando deciding that the only acceptable route is reuniting bb yoda with his family/species (especially since mando has ~*TRAUMA*~ around losing family and finding belonging and a soft spot for foundlings, as we saw in episode 1)

so then it could be a matter of who will help him on his quest and who will seek to subvert him and steal the baby.

i'm sure there's other force groups we've seen in canon, those were just the 5 that i remembered off the bat. POINT IS, who is friend and who is foe???
