That was such a good ending and a great set-up for what is to come -

So to summarize the books Ahriman Exile, Sorcerer, and Unchanged, we first start at the beginning.

After the Thousand Sons decimation at the hands of the Space Wolves led by Leman Russ, their Primarch Magnus the Red used the last of his power to transport his remaining sons -
to Sortarius, Planet of the Sorcerer. This chaos world is a warped and twisted nexus of etheric energy, volatile in fact that it further hastened the mutation of the legion to abominations known as chaos spawns.
But unbeknownst to them, the power used by their father Magnus was made by making a deal with the Architect of Fate to grant them a future at the cost of their very souls.

With their father not helping to save his legion, Ahriman and his cabal of Sorcerers enacted -
the First Rubric, a complex layers of rituals and patterns planned to change the nature of reality, to cure them of their curse but there was an error in the grand ritual and most of their brethren who are not psychically gifted turned to dust and empowered the sorcerers.
It did not just turn their brothers to dust but also stripped them of their very Identity and merged their souls to their armor, making them mindless automatons.

And at that moment, their Father Magnus appear, ready to slay the defiant warlocks for defying fate.
The Architect of Fate intervened and prevented their demise at the hands of their father but to circumvent this decree, he exiled them. It is no normal expulsion for he banished their very name, soul, and identity, from Sortarius.

Now we jump to the events of Ahriman : Exile -
The cabal now shattered, Ahriman's psyche is shattered and most his memories repressed in his mental castle. He now serves a warlord as a weak servant and his powers diminished. Unknown to him, he and his cabal is being hunted by Amon, his battle brother, and his renegades.
Magnus set this all up, he manipulated his son Amon with promised oblivion to give Ahriman a renewed purpose of fixing his mistakes and remaking the legion.

During their battle, Ahriman destroyed Amon and opened the doors of his locked memories that made him whole again.
Ahriman also met and trained a renegade loyalist librarian named Astreos from a destroyer chapter thought to be traitor.

He sought the Athanaeum of Kalimakus, a grimoire that speaks of his fathers' secrets. But in truth, the tome was manipluated by a fragment of his shattered -
father's soul, in war with the other shards and seeking to restore himself by manipulating Ahriman into taking the grimoire and enacting a second rubric.

By invading the world Apollonia, Ahriman gained the tome but unknowingly set the death of Astreos' Legion in the past -
Because future Astreos was accidentally left behind when capturing the Inquisitor Iobel, the Inquisition destroyed his world and legion. He was the cause of the death of his homeworld and his eventual turn into chaos in the future.
Now he blames his mentor Ahriman and jumps to the Warp with the help of a shard of Magnus' shattered soul. In the warp, he was the lord of sorcerers that was being spoken of not Amon. He was the one gathering the exiled sorcerers while in the warps past, Ahriman was still broken.
Magnus manipulated Amon; created the Athanaeum which made the Inquisitor Iobel and the Ordo (Order of) Cyclopes, and then gave Ahriman purpose once more, all the while his shards were pulling the strings of fate to then manipulate this events so he can be whole again.
End of Sorcerer, Jump to Exile

So now Ahriman prepares the patterns and rituals for the Second rubric. His cabal invades their previous homeworld, the now barren Prospero, and sends a beacon that summons every single renegade sorcerer brothers to breach the banishment of Magnus.
Meanwhile, Magnus' own court prepares the defence of their throne world Sortarius, summoning their daemon hosts and witch cults.

Somewhere in the warp, Astreos prepares his own cabal of warlocks to also travel to Sortarius guided by a shard of Magnus. -
It was a three-way war between Ahriman (also with a shard of his fathers' soul) Magnus (the broken but bigger shard of soul that ascended to demonhood) and Astreos (with the shard of Magnus' defiant personality) -
For Ahriman, It was a war of repentance.
For Magnus, It was a war to save his sons.
For Astreos, It was revenge for his murdered kin.
Ahriman was succesful, with a thousand of his warlocks he breached the banishment and transported his army to the center of Sortarius, to the insides of the city of towers. The world lit on fire with spells and witch-fire lighting the atmosphere.
Crystal towers shattered at the psychic shockwave brought by such entrance, humans burned miles away and floating citadels fell to the ground. The planetary defence was caught of guard and battle ensued.

Knekku while finding the answer to unify Magnus' soul
Ahriman began the second Rubric, it was not like the first for it was a ritual of sacrifice, his sacrifice, he wants to die to save his brothers. But this rubric was a lie creates by his father to restore his shattered soul.

But then Astreos appeared at the zenith of the spell
OKAY OKAY SHIT GETS GOOD. Btch I AM NERDING OUT WHAT THE FCK

The Rubric created a soul-link among every single Thousand Sons across time and space once more, and at the center of it all, THE center of the storm was Ahriman.

Astreos together with his own cabal -
Met the coalescing psychic energy of Ahriman with hellfire and orbital bombardment which disrupted the intricate weaves of the ritual.

Then our boy Knekku of the planetary defence of the world escaped the crystal labyrinth with a plan to defy fate and save Magnus, their father.
The Rubric started remaking the legion and inflicting great pain to them in the middle of the three-way war, Astreos began taunting Ahriman and was about to kill him when Knekku arrived with the rest of the witch guards of the planet and fucked shit up. He pulled Ahriman -
from the center of the ritual and in the mass confusion, wielded the energies if the Rubric to unify the clashing souls of Magnus across time and space (each soul thought they were the real Magnus, but each were a facet of his soul). Then baam boom bitch white explosion.
The psychic shockwave drove oracles and astropaths across the galaxy insane!

In the aftermath, the one final shard was left inside Astreos was exorcised and reunified with Magnus.

In the ruins of the destroyed world, Astreos and Ahriman had a chit chat OOF
A reformed Magnus lifted his loyal sons and stopped them from chasing the exiles because according to him, failure is the judgment for their sins and that is enough. OOOOO SHIT stan Magnus The Red.
Aftermath:

Magnus felt pity and let Astros wander the wastelands of Sartorius

Ahriman and his cabal escaped and found that the rubric was successful but restore/revived only one of their brothers, Helio Isidorus - Ahriman talks to his previous brother, now turned daemon -
the oracle Menkaura, and divined that his future is chaotic and not set, for him to wage war again he must realize that time and choice leaves nothing unchanged, and that he and his dream is unchanged.
