@TheBMA #ARM2020 is debating trans rights. I spoke in favour of Motion 4 because trans people need the support of doctors and the BMA, particularly at a time they are the focus of a moral panic - pleased that it has passed in full.

For the transphobes joining this thread, please save your energy. The BMA is not your enemy and piling on will just result in muting.

And for those who assume I walked up to this debate today having never given it any prior consideration or discussed the issues with cis and trans women and men, or that I haven’t looked at the facts available, I’m sorry if you’ve dealt with others like that, but that’s not me.
