Reasons why Du’a is Not Answered

1.Earning Unlawful Income:

We should make sure we earn income from halal resources, otherwise our dua will be rejected.

O you Messengers! Eat of the good things and do righteous actions.’} (3:51)

2. Praying for Sin: 

We must avoid any kind of prayer that involves a sin, especially severing kinship ties. The Noble Prophet said:

“ The Dua’a of anyone of you maybe answered by Allah as long as his does not involve a bad deed or severing kinship ties.” (At-Tirmidhi)

3. Showing Impatience: 

We should never be hasty while making dua nor stop making dua because we do not get a response. Prophet said

“The (dua) of anyone of u maybe answered( by Allah) as long as he does show impatience by saying, “ I prayed to Allah but my prayers have not+

++ been answered.” (Al-Bukhari)

4. Being Heedless: 

When making Dua’, you should collect your heart, stay focused, and consciously think of the One you are calling upon. The Prophet said:

“You should know that Allah does not answer the dua’a that comes from a heedless heart.

5. Lack of Sincerity: 

Allah says: {Call then upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him.} (40:14)

6.Doubting Allah’s Response: 

When we make Dua, we should put our trust in Allah and be sure of Allah’s response. Never think of the bad deeds we have committed, because Allah is the Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

“ Make dua’a while being certain of the response.” (At-Tirmidhi)

7. Praying to Other than Allah: 

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, taught his cousin Ibn ‘Abbas:

“ When you ask, ask of Allah; and when you seek help, seek help from Allah.“ (Tirmidhi)

8. A person is not sending salutation to prophet Muhammad ﷺ : A dua is not accepted until the blessing and salutation are send to prophet Muhammad ﷺ with it (at-tabarani)

9. Allah loves to be invoked : Allah loves when a person call to him your dua might be accepted only if you recall Allah again and again and ask for it.

10. Acceptance of dua in different : a dua of a Muslim take different forms. the dua might be accepted soon might be storage for the right time aur it is because of the dua that an evil is kept away i.e something better is given in return for the benefit by the Allah ﷻ

11. Our sins might be the major reason why our Duas are unanswered. Allah Says: “Ask forgiveness from your Lord, verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; He will send rain to you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”+
