okay so we know how dice is confirmed to be otome's son, and arisugawa is actually the maiden name of otome's mom. we know she sent dice away under the name arisugawa to keep him safe, so let's just assume that homare was also sent away with him to their grandparents home

which would be the manor that homare "grew up in". (would this make sakae-san actually a corrupt politician?? who knows) anyway sometimes later dice runs away from the manor and never comes back

homare assumes the worst, probably, and thinks he's dead

because there's no way someone like dice (young, innocent, naive) could survive out on the streets for so long

except dice evidently is not dead, because homare sees him on billboards plastered around tokyo: arisugawa dice, mc dead or alive

and then they figure out where he will be so hisoka goes "undercover" to the casino where dice is and "loses" his phone in a gamble

and then he comes home shoves dice's new phone's number in arisu's face and goes "here now text him and shhhh"
