Good morning Africa, Good morning #Ghana
I woke up this morning with joy in my heart and motivation to take on today but all these were washed away by the news of another fatal accident that happened on our roads here in Ghana. It’s sad seeing people lay lifeless after these...
accidents that leave many families broken and hearts broken too. Human Life, no matter whose it is, is important and has to be held at the highest esteem. It is for this reason that I feel very ashamed of the strength and credibility of our health sector here in Ghana...
Many can bear witness to the fact that accident scenes aren’t managed the best by the health sector in Ghana. First of all I highly respect and trust in the services of our doctors and Nurses and we we a country are proud and thankful for all that they do for us as a country.
I only speak from as a concerned citizen and a sympathizer to the many families that lose loved ones day in and day out from accidents. When accidents happen, I believe the first people at the scene of the accident should be EMERGENCY RESPONSE PARAMEDICS!
Alongside the security forces and the fire service. Sadly it isn’t the situation here in Ghana. All we see are concerned people who try to save victims from the scene and eventually some police or Fire service personnel. Although the above mentioned help make the situation...
better sometimes, we can all agree that well-trained Emergency response personnel would do a better job at handling the situations of the victims involved. During accidents, people panic and on some occasions slip into comas. Others are in critical conditions which require...
emergency attendance procedures such as CPR to bring them back to life before they receive professional treatment. I can not tell for other situations but for all the accidents I have witnessed or seen through trending videos, I can not say I have seen any of these procedures...
being done to revive the bodies. All we see is victims being pulled out and then laid down afterwards without any professional emergency attendance or whatsoever. And it is sad to know that quite a number of these people could have been revived if they had been attended to.
We are all well aware of how far Ghana has come as a country. For over 50 years and Ghana can not boast of a CREDIBLE EMERGENCY HEALTH RESPONSE sector to its health sector. It pains my heart to see our leaders play politics when issues like this are being left hanging!!
Not long ago it was the issue of beds and lack of ambulances, what has changed since then???!!
I ask as a VERY CONCERNED youth seeing my country go nowhere. We’re the new generation and we should stand up and stop being puppets to these politicians using as for their own gains!!
Does human life matter no more??
Does our Ghana matter to us anymore??
Youth dying everyday and the reality is that we’re losing the generation that could make a change to what our predecessors failed to do
