Is the Australian government going to save Australian Universities yet or are we just damning the future & throwing all the clever people away? ok cool... (not cool)

We aren’t all rich boffins, most of us are trying to make the country and the world better.

It’s where all those doctors, nurses , epidemiologist, immunologists etc fighting COVID were trained. It’s where we train the people keeping the food on your tables. The people who make the tech that keeps you entertained...

To be super clear I’m pro other forms of education and training too. But for the love of life why are universities one of the only workplaces that this government doesn’t think is worth saving?
