The whole problem with #nuclear in the west, is that no-one truly commits to the process of making nuclear deployments faster and cheaper by planning successive units; and committing to streamlining, better financing, scaling up, experience building, etc.

Others have beaten us!
If we committed to what we have available NOW! (even the AP1000, use Vogtle experience) We would pave the way for innovation, by creating a place where #nuclear can thrive. But it starts NOW!!! not in 10 years.

It's not just about the technology, it's also about the mindset, getting people involved and dedicated, training them, fostering a culture of excellence and optimism. Having people capable of deploying and managing and maintaining these technologies.

Saving Diablo Canyon...
That's central to building and fostering an industry that will help us end our vulnerability to climate change, help us improve the disposition of everyone else in the world, and start ramping up low-carbon deployments in the world. https://twitter.com/hinkleypointc/status/1305495919710871552
But it needs a cradle, and I believe that that cradle could be, and should be California.

Start with contemporary nuclear -> Create excellence, and experience -> become the birthplace of newer more advanced designs -> Share your success with the rest -> change the world.
