Let's start here; There's no emotion in this life that is gendered. None.

So, of course men need reassurance. So what you see as security is that many men haven't learned to vocalise their emotional needs cos that takes vulnerability and often, we see that as weak & 'unmanly' https://twitter.com/shallomszn/status/1305570441457664006
Secondly, all our lives our intrinsic value has been over-estimated, to us and to women from Gender Reveals, to sports & toys, to gender pay.

So genuinely, we are less likely to ask for validation when we view ourselves as above it, as 'greater', cos our societal system says so.
Lastly, the dynamics of hetero relationships have been built on previous two points.
So we don't need reassurance cos women already reassure us with behaviour.

And as has been pointed to us, we have The Audacity™. We'll go where we're treated better rather than ask for it.
