I'm so EGGS-cited! THE SILKIE CHICKEN EGGS ARRIVED FROM NEW YORK TODAY! The hatching process will take 21 days. They were all intact. USPS only took three days to deliver. I'll update this thread with their progress and milestones! 1/

After carefully unwrapping each small tan egg and checking to make sure they were intact, each one was weighed. Here are the lightest of the four: (subtract 7.1 grams from weight due to egg holder)
Red 46.4
Green 48.6
Pink 48.8
Orange 49.9

The heavier two may likely be roosters. If so, I'll have to find another home for them when they get older. (Again, subtract 7.1 grams from weight due to egg holder)
52.3 Dark Blue
52.1 Sky Blue
(purely random that the likely males were color coded in shades of blue)

I'm a first-time mom and worried. Odds are only five of the six eggs will hatch, but I'm crossing my fingers that all will make it. Here's the family picture!
Into the incubator! Optimal temperature is 37.5 degrees celcius and between 40 - 60% humidity. I have a second thermometer to verify temperature and monitor humidity. Those are the dangling sensors.
