I feel this one in my bones.

It’s not zoom fatigue. It’s just fatigue. Cheerleading for your team while the world is literally on fire will eventually take a toll. https://twitter.com/drdevonprice/status/1305391600290365441
It’s always been said that it’s lonely at the top, and I guess I parsed that’s differently before. Being a boss is lonely work. Nobody asks you how you are. Your job is to show up, smile, direct, guide, mentor, teach, fix, build. When your people are suffering, you will too.
I start every week with kind of a kickoff meeting. I tell the. What the next few weeks will look like, highlight awesome stuff my crew did the week before. I normally find it really invigorating, love pumping my folks up. But you never get an off day. You don’t get to have that.
Some people will literally fear for their jobs if you’re not 100% all the time. Even if you’ve made it really clear that everyone is safe. Visceral reactions are still visceral.

It’s fine, just means you have to find other ways of handling your own shit.
I am not asking for advice. Really.

Really tho. Srsly.

I’ve got this.

It was important for me to share it so that people who are doing the same don’t feel so alone, but I promise all of you well-intentioned folks, I’ve got this.
So, I guess we’re going to go through an English lesson today. Do you know how to know when a women on the internet wants your opinion?

They fucking ask for it.

If they didn’t ask for it, maybe just don’t.
