You can even see this in the Pew polls: Trump has significantly improved his approval among voters who backed Romney in 2012 and a third-party candidate in 2016. So it’s not just anecdotes. But Trump has lost ground with his own voters who backed Obama in 2012.
And the conservative writers who are getting emails from people like Pletka who are “reluctantly” for Trump this time? Well, they know a wildly disproportionate number of McMullin voters compared to the whole population.
