22 weeks since the first stimulus
1200 / by 5mo = $240 a month
1200 / by est. 22wks = est. $55 a week
+ IF someone is on unemployment as well -- on average $200 allowance + 600 (while it lasted x2 = 1,600 biweekly
est. 16,000 total the past 5 months https://twitter.com/kanyewest/status/1305720363083427841
now this is estimating for a single person... shall we now calculate for rent (+common household bills), food, transportation, necessities, schooling and comfort money.
where exactly do we contribute the funds for buying land/property?
my math is probably off, but overall we know that $1,200 plus (if any) unemployment is enough for any norm human being to live off of monthly. it is very doable if budgeting carefully but lets not normalize a roughly $800 biweekly check to be even close to "comforting"
even-
while employed during a pandemic at av working $10 per hour--
now lets say the new av is $15hr = $1,200 w/o taxes biweekly x2 = $2,400mo w/o taxes
STILL is not even close to being able to cover all expenses per month. this is stuff we all know but i felt the need to break it down
me starting this thread is because
1. eat the rich
2. i'm mid convo about the economy
3. we must keep demanding change/funding for healthcare, education, housing + resources for low income(etc)
in context, prioritizing city income by distributing properly to benefit all
