She’s spent all year hating on trans people... now JK Rowling has written a whole book that paints trans people up as predators and has once again put us in danger...

A trans woman was killed in Wagga Wagga last year and another was murdered in Coogee earlier this year. Trans people are more likely to be VICTIMS of violence.

Books like this one, and Rowling’s constant transphobic rhetoric perpetuate this violence...

Leaving the house everyday as a trans person is an act of bravery. Being visible as a trans person is an act of bravery.

I’m constantly scared for my safety. Writing books like this puts even more of a target on us when we’re already at increased risk of violence.

Things that have happened to me BECAUSE I’m transgender:
- I have been spat at
- I have been assaulted
- I have had slurs yelled at me
- I have received death threats
- I have received threats of violence

These kinds of books perpetuate this violence.

Also her homophobic and transphobic attitude was subtly evident even before she publicly started stating her views. She writes under the pseudonym “Robert Galbraith”. Robert Galbraith-Heath was a psychiatrist who developed practices that were later labelled as conversion therapy.

Robert Galbraith-Heath was particularly well known for one of his signature treatments – electroshock treatments used to “cure” gay men of their homosexuality.

She’s been writing under this name for years and this book is also written under this name.

This woman as dangerous and needs to be de-platformed immediately.
